I grew up on a farm in Vassar, Michigan. I attended both a Lutheran grade school and high school. There I learned the importance of a good Christian education, and it helped lead me to become a Lutheran grade school teacher. I graduated with a B.A. Degree in Elementary Education from Concordia University- River Forest, Illinois, in 1996. Prior to teaching at St. Pauls, I have taught 7th grade at Zion Lutheran in Marengo, Illinois, and 3rd grade at Calvary Lutheran in Indianapolis, Indiana. I accepted the call to teach at St. Pauls in 2000. I am currently teaching 6th grade homeroom and upper grade math. I also am involved with coaching track and volleyball. I enjoy teaching this age group. It is not always an easy time in their lives, but we learn and grow together with Christ as our focus. I am the youngest of six children so I enjoy playing with and spoiling my 13 nephews and nieces. In my free time I love to play or watch any sport (especially volleyball), make cards, watch movies, and spend time with family and friends. |
