Miss Cheryl Marsch-3^rd Grade

 

I am a life long resident of West Allis as well as a member of St. Pauls Church. I am a true native of St. Pauls as I also, graduated from 8^th grade here at St. Pauls. I then attended and graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School. Upon finishing up at Milwaukee Lutheran, I attended Concordia University in Milwaukee for 2 years then went on to Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois. I graduated with a B.A. in Education from Concordia River Forest.

 

My first teaching job was at Our Redeemer in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, where I taught first grade for 19 years. I came to St. Pauls in 1990. In the years that I have taught at St. Pauls I have been blessed to teach at the kindergarten, 2^nd and 3^rd grade levels. I also have the pleasure of serving our Lord Jesus Christ in a special way serving as the superintendent of Sunday School and the director of VBS. I also, share my love for softball as coach of the 7^th and 8^th grade girls softball team.

 

In my spare time I love to spend time in the north woods-hiking, fishing, swimming and boating. I also enjoy playing with our dogs, gardening, reading and spending time with my family and friends.

 

My main focus of learning is that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. We carry this through our whole day and into our subjects. Third grade is a time for growth and development. We work hard to learn many new concepts as well as strengthen and review skills learned in prior years. We spend much of our time in Math strengthening our addition, subtraction, and money skills to better ready ourselves for the months to come when we introduce multiplication and division facts and study fractions. Parts of speech and learning different forms of writing is our main focus in English. In Science, we concentrate on earth, physical, and life science. History focuses on communities and the early studies of America.
