Mission Statement: St. Pauls Health Ministry exists as an outreach of Word and Sacrament encouraging health and wellness of mind, body, and spirit to all Gods people.

 

Please notify the church office, one of the Pastors, or the Parish Nurse for any hospital admission. Your privacy will be fully respected! The hospitals do not notify churches when their members are admitted. Word and Sacrament will be brought to you for spiritual, physical, and emotional strength.

 

If you wish the prayers of the congregation and/or the prayer chain, please call the church office with the need to be taken to the Lord in prayer. You may also request a non-specific prayer if you do not wish the reason known for example, Please pray for my brother who is having problems or is ill.

 

If you, a friend, or family member is unable to attend regular worship services, please call the church office. Word and Sacrament will then be taken to their home or other residence.

How are Human Care Ministries accomplished at St. Pauls Lutheran Church?

 

Parish Nurse: A registered nurse with a current license to practice in Wisconsin, who has a strong desire to facilitate good health and healing among all of Gods people, and who is a member in good standing at St. Pauls Lutheran Church.

1. Provides resources for health education for all ages
2. Provides resources to community services, such as health care and senior living options
3. Provides opportunities for training of volunteers to assist in meeting the needs of people (b/p screening, Bringing the Light)
4. Coordinates the services of volunteers
5. Provides health counseling to individuals and groups as needs are shared
